Contact HackedWire

News tips, corrections, and business inquiries. For anything sensitive, read the secure-contact guidance below first.

News tips

Send tips to tips@hackedwire.com. Tell us what happened, when, and where we can verify it — links to public sources (vendor advisories, filings, official statements) help more than screenshots of claims.

Corrections

Spotted an error? Write to tips@hackedwire.com with “Correction” in the subject line and a link to the article. Our corrections process is published here.

Secure-contact guidance

  • Do not send sensitive material by plain email. Email is not a secure channel: describe what you have in general terms first, and we will arrange a safer way to receive it.
  • Do not send passwords, credentials, access tokens, or other people’s personal information.
  • We will never ask you to grant us access to your systems, run code, or exfiltrate data on our behalf.
  • If you are reporting a vulnerability in HackedWire’s own site, use our security disclosure policy instead.

What we can’t do

HackedWire is a newsroom, not an incident-response team. If you are dealing with an active breach, contact your internal security team, your incident-response provider, or law enforcement — and you can report cyber-enabled crime to the FBI at ic3.gov.
